Tumbling Classes Offered

Class Descriptions & Ability Requirements:

Tiny Tumblers - ages 18 months-3 years
(60 minutes)

In this class, your athlete learns to enhance their coordination, body awareness, body control, basic tumbling and flexibility through stretching & various movements. An adult is required to join the athlete in class to assist in their learning process. Classes will be set up according to age.

Beginner Tumbling - ages 4-14
(60-75 minutes)
This class involves stretching, conditioning, and basic progressive mat tumbling through cartwheels as well as basic limbering skills. Classes set up according to age.

Advanced Beginner Tumbling - ages 4-18
(60-75 minutes)
This class involves stretching, conditioning, and advanced progressive mat tumbling through forward & backward limbering series, running cartwheels & round-offs, as well as standing flip-flops. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform a
backbend from a standing position that can kick over or stand up. Classes set up according to age.

Power Tumbling - ages 5-Adult
(75 minutes)
This class involves stretching, intense conditioning, and progressive power tumbling from flip-flops to a series of flip-flops. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform forward & backward limbering skills & a running round-off with
consistent form and proper technique. Classes set up according to ability level.

Advanced Power Tumbling - ages 6-Adult
(90 minutes)
This class involves stretching, intense conditioning, and progressive power tumbling from individual aerial skills through alternating, bounding, twisting & double rotating skills. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform a standing & running series of flip-flops with consistent form, proper technique, and speed.
Classes set up according to ability level.

Tumbling for Cheerleaders - grades K-12
(60 minutes)
This class involves basic tumbling skills used in cheerleading through standing flip-flops and running series of flip-flops. Class will include other cheerleading skills such as jumps, jump conditioning, motions, tumbling
to counts & synchronized tumbling. Classes set up according to grade level.

Special Needs Tumblers – all ages   
(60 min.)
This class involves stretching, various activities and tumbling that will promote physical fitness, body awareness, strength, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and decision making.

Private Lessons - ages 4-Adult
(30 minutes)
Private tumbling lessons allow your athlete to work through their progression of skills in a 1-on-1 environment. Privates are scheduled on a monthly basis based on staff & gym availability.

Other Programs Offered

Birthday Parties/Gym Rentals -
Celebrate your special day with Pierce Athletics! Party fees include gym time along with staff that will provide instruction and supervision for your event. A deposit is required to hold your reservation. Contact the office for pricing information.

Parents' Night Out -
Parents can enjoy a night out on the weekend while your kids are having fun in a safe environment. Parents' Night Out will be scheduled once each month from 6:00-10:00 pm. Athletes must be 3 years old or older. Dates & information will be posted at the gym as well as online.

Super Saturdays - 
Members of Pierce Athletics will have the opportunity to attend a 2-hour open gym scheduled at least once each month. These Super Saturdays will be a great opportunity to work on advancing your skill progression outside of your normal class time.
